CRACKING
Elisha and Her Mother
2022
INDIVIDUAL THOUGHTS
Elisha and her mother have differing opinions on the current state of her academics.
ELISHA'S
The pressure I feel is unbearable. I am burning out and drowning in my studies. I cannot continue doing this. I am wasting my life. I am sacrificing my happiness for my mother. I want to be happy. I can make my own life decisions. She gives me advice because she does not want me to make mistakes. But how can I learn if I cannot make my own mistakes? My mother does not understand what I have to go through. I am cracking under her expectations...
ELISHA'S MOTHER
Elisha needs the pressure. She is just giving up. She needs to be more resilient. She needs to continue, she is almost in university! She is wasting her future. I have sacrificed so much of my happiness for her future happiness and success. She will regret her decisions and will not be happy if she does not listen to my advice right now. I know she needs my guidance. I do not want her to make the same mistakes I did. Elisha just does not understand yet...
